| According to the State Statistics Bureau, China¡¯s wheaten food production (not including dried noodles production, same below) by medium and large enterprises registered 1.017 million MT in June, 1.7% more than the month before and 3.04% more than the same period of last year. Wheaten food production by these producers totaled 5.745 million MT in Jan. ~ June, a growth of 1.77% on the year-on-year basis.
Specifically, the productions of instant noodles, cracker, cakes and fast-frozen wheaten food registered 464,000 MT, 282,000 MT, 74,000 MT and 197,000 MT in June, down 5.7%, up 14.63%, up 2.87% but down 3.68% respectively against the month before, up 4.98%, up 25.33%, up 12.12% but down 22.44% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
During Jan. ~ June, instant noodles production totaled 2.714 million MT, cracker 1.444 million MT, cakes 418,000 MT and fast-frozen wheaten food 1.16 million MT, up 9.88%, up 5.97%, up 17.81% but down 20.55% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
Calculated by wheaten food production, flour consumption by medium and large wheaten food producers was 649,000 MT in June, 1.03% more than the month before and 9.4% more than the same period of last year. Such flour consumption accounted for 8.54% of medium and large flourmills¡¯ production in June. Flour consumption for wheaten food production was estimated to be 3.652 million MT in Jan. ~ June, an increase of 13.85% on the year-on-year basis. |
