Textile Industry’s Profit Increased in JuneTextile Industry’s Profit Increased in June

According to the State Statistics Bureau, garment CPI dropped 2.3% in June on the year-on-year basis, conducive to garment consumption. Adjusting for price, garment consumption increased 20.8% in Jan. ~ June on the year-on-year basis, which fueled the textile industry’s recovery.

Cotton price averaged RMB12,783/MT in June, up 0.08% over the month before but down 7.76% on the year-on-year basis.

As cotton and energy price dropped more than textile industry’s PPI and CPI in Jan. ~ June on the year-on-year basis, the textile industry enjoyed a monthly profit of RMB358/MT in June and the industry’s profit ratio moved up to 2.04%.
