According to the customs, China¡¯s corn exports were 20,000 MT in March, a collapse from the 1.13 million MT in the same period of last year. Corn exports totaled 80,000 MT in the first quarter of this year, a slip of 97.2% on the year-on-year basis.

China¡¯s annual corn exports were 3 ~ 4 million MT in the last few years. Subject to the government¡¯s control, corn exports are predicted to stay at the present low level this year. The purpose of corn export control is to ensure feed supply, lower feed cost and ensure a stable pork price.
