With the development of economy and the society, the shortage of wood will be more and more outstanding in China. Bai Guangxin, chairman of China Jilin Forest Industry Group Co., Ltd. (CJFIG), suggested starting the construction of fast-growing forests base in the northeast region and Inner Mongolia as soon as practical; making policies for alteration of commercial forests to fast-growing forests; separately reporting and approving the cutting volume of such altered forests.
