>>BOABC Insights

The producer?s urea price rose above RMB1,800/MT in mid Dec., accredited to increasing export volume. Urea exports are estimated to be close to 1.5 million MT in the fourth quarter of this year. But compared with huge urea production and the vast domestic market, urea exports have limited effect on price growth. Moreover, urea export tax is to be restored to 30% in Jan. of 2008, likely to curtail exports by then.
