Jujube originated from China and China still remains as the largest jujube producing country as well as the only export country of jujube product. According to the experts, jujube product is expecting a gold era of domestic consumption and international trade.

Between 1979 and 2006, the total output of jujube has increased from 338,900 tons to 2.5 million tons, up by 6.38 times. From 1994, the annual growth rate has exceeded 11 percent. Jujube mainly grows in Hebei, Shangdong, Henan and Shaanxi Provinces
