January-March 2008, per capita consumption of carbonate drinks in China was 0.62 kg, or 3.28 RMB. Out of 31 provinces/municipalities, the three provinces in the Northeast, i.e. particularly Liaoning and Jilin, took the lead in per capita carbonate drink consumption, followed by Beijing.
