According to the customs, there were no wheat imports and exports in Nov.
According to the customs, China’s wheat flour imports were 836.09 MT in Nov., 11.32% less than the month before and 17.2% less than the same period of last year. 54.82% of the imports came from Japan the rest from Australia, etc.
Flour imports totaled 10,174 MT in Jan. ~ Nov., a slip of 35.03% on the year-on-year basis. Flour imports are predicted to reach 11,300 MT by the end of Dec.
According to the customs, flour exports were 11,894 MT in Nov., 0.6% more than the month before but 89.2% less the same period of last year. 94.45% of the exports went to Hong Kong. Flour exports totaled 170,120 MT in Jan. ~ Nov., a collapse of 71.7% on the year-on-year basis. Flour exports are predicted to reach 185,000 MT by the end of Dec.
Flour import price was $696/MT in Nov., down 13.6% from the month before but up 19.8% on the year-on-year basis. The price decline in Nov. compared with the month before was a result of international price decline.
Flour export price was $466/MT in Nov., up 1.99% over the month before and up 57.45% on the year-on-year basis. Flour export price was far above the domestic average price because of the high grade of the exports and quota control.
In view of the international price decline, flour import price is predicted to drop but export price may go steady in the following months.
