Judging by wheat demand and supply in China, there is a slight surplus in 2008/2009 after meeting food-use demand. Domestic wheat safety index is only 42.24%, slightly more than last year. World wheat safety index is only 29% and is predicted to drop to 23.2% in 2009/2010.
World wheat futures price has picked up recently. Spurred by this price move, wheat price is anticipated to pick up in the cash market, too.
