>>BOABC Insights

With the increase of big hogs in hog inventory in Aug., hog farms may consume 1.1 million MT more corn in Aug. compared with July.

50% of broiler production is contributed by individual farming households and small broiler farms. As broiler production generates losses, farmers and small broiler farms may cut broiler inventory by 30% and by 20% respectively in Aug., affecting corn consumption by 300,000 MT in Aug.

Egg layer feed production is stable. With the upturn of wheat price, feed mills are unlikely to use plenty of wheat to replace corn in feed production.

BOABC predicts that the demand for corn from feed mills and livestock farms may go up 810,000 MT in Aug., 10% more than the month before.
