According to the customs, China’s corn exports were 26,200 MT in April, 44.56% more than the month before but 95.47% less than a year ago. In the first four months of this year, corn exports totaled 89,500 MT, a collapse of 97.38% on the year-on-year basis.
Of the exports between Jan. and April, 30,100 MT went to North Korea, 26,200 MT to Taiwan, 16,400 MT to Japan, 6,925 MT to UK, 2,017 MT to South Korea and 559 MT to Canada.
China imported 951 MT corn in April, including 450 MT from the USA and 500 MT from Burma.
