Saccharine is produced in five authorized companies in China: Kaifeng Xinghua Fine Chemical Plant in Henan, Tianjin North Food Co., Ltd. in Tianjin, Suzhou Fine Chemical Group Co., Ltd. in Jiangsu, Tianjin Changjie Chemical Co., Ltd. in Tianjin and Shanghai Fuxin Chemical Co., Ltd. in Shanghai.

According to the National Saccharine Coordination Office, the five companies produced 9311.51 MT saccharine during Jan. ~ July, exported 8489.22 MT of them and sold 1359.90 MT in the domestic market, down 12.32%, 4.68% and 7.52% respectively on the year-on-year basis. Saccharine inventory with the five companies totaled 2256.39 MT at the end of July, a growth of 82.79% on the year-on-year basis.
