China’s fertilizer production registered 4.672 million MT (nutrient, same below) in Dec., a drop of
8.8% on the year-on-year basis. For four consecutive months since Sep., fertilizer production
dropped on the year-on-year basis.
Fertilizer production totaled 58.672 million MT in 2008, including 43.316 million MT nitrogen,
12.582 million MT phosphorus and 2.77 million MT potassium, up 0.9%, up 4.9%, down 5.5% but
up 14.2% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
Of the total, urea production was 56.403 million MT (product, same below) and DAP 7.664 million
MT, 2.8% and 9.8% more than the same period of the previous year respectively.
